Performer lineup announced for the 40th anniversary season at Horizon Stage
A Canadian Country Music Association Hall of Famer, a musical magician, and a member of one of Canada’s most famous musical families will all take to the stage in Spruce Grove this season as Horizon Stage unveils its 40th anniversary lineup.
“We are so proud to be celebrating this milestone season by bringing back many of the ‘fan favourite’ artists and performers who have thrilled and inspired audiences over the past four decades,” said Jeanine Merkus, Program & Event Supervisor with the City of Spruce Grove. “This is an exciting achievement for Horizon Stage and a true testament to the unwavering support from our community and our dedicated staff and volunteers, who make this theatre what it is.”
The landmark 40th anniversary season kicks off September 26 with a performance by country-folk singer and member of the Rankin Family, Jimmy Rankin. Other highlights from the season include a pair of performances by three-time CCMA Male Vocalist of the year and Alberta’s own George Fox, the hilarious live sketch comedy show Middle Raged, musical magician Chris Funk, and tributes to classic performers including the Eagles and Patsy Cline.
