Transit Projects

Bus stop upgrades

In 2017, 15 bus stops in Spruce Grove were paved from the previous grass surface. In 2018, ten additional bus stops were paved to ensure public safety and comfort. Additionally, one bus shelter and a number of bike racks will be installed to support multi-mode transit, allowing riders who are not currently within walking distance of a bus stop the opportunity to ride their bike and securely leave it at the bus stop. These upgrades will increase transit accessibility for all passengers and are being funded through a partnership involving the Government of Canada, the Province of Alberta and the City of Spruce Grove.

Bus purchase — local service

Two new buses were purchased in 2019 and a third bus was purchased in 2020 to provide local bus service in Spruce Grove. The buses were funded through a partnership involving the Government of Canada, the Province of Alberta and the City of Spruce Grove.
