Spruce Grove Transit Centre Project

In conjunction with the development of Heavy Metal Place, the City of Spruce Grove is creating a new Spruce Grove Transit Centre to meet the growing transportation needs of our community.

With 600 parking stalls available for Park & Ride users, the Transit Centre will serve as the central location for all commuter service into and out of Spruce Grove. It will also be a regular stop for our On-Demand Local Transit service, providing patrons of Heavy Metal Place another way to get there and enjoy all its amenities.

By locating these two major facilities close together, we are able to maximize the land usage and provide shared parking for both Heavy Metal Place and the Transit Centre. There will be no cost to users to park to use either facility.

The facility design features a platform island with heated shelter for transit users to wait for their bus comfortably in all seasons.

The Transit Centre is scheduled to open in late 2024.

This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada (Investing in Canada Plan), and in part by the Province of Alberta (Municipal Sustainability Initiative and GreenTRIP).
