The City of Spruce Grove operates a snow storage facility to meet the needs of City roadway operations. The facility can only be accessed from 21 Century Close. Please come into the Public Works office to obtain a snow dump permit and pre-pay prior to accessing the snow storage facility.

The facility is made available seasonally for commercial operators who service private properties within the boundaries of the City. This provision is subject to available capacity within the facility and other emergent operational conditions. Commercial operators should check this page to confirm the current status of the snow storage facility.  

2023-2024 rates

The rates to dump snow are:

• Loads up to and including tandem axle truck - $50 per load
• Loads over tandem axle truck - $100 per load
• Non refundable after-hours surcharge $100 (per hour)

Please note: 2023-2024 rates are subject to Council approval.

Payment and permits

In-person payment is accepted at Public Works facility, 21 Century Close, during operational hours by either credit or debit card. No other form of payment is accepted. 

Prepaid snow storage facility permits must be obtained daily from Public Works prior to accessing the snow storage facility. 

To access the snow storage facility after hours, all associated costs must be prepaid and snow hauling permits issued by Public Works.

Monday - Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
Closed all Statutory Holidays

After-hours access to the snow storage facility is available Monday - Friday 4:30 p.m. - 12 a.m., by appointment only.  Hourly surcharge will apply.
