Emergency Preparedness Week

Emergency Preparedness Week takes place every year during the first week of May. It's an opportunity for Canadians to take action to ensure they are prepared to protect themselves, their families and their community during an emergency. Spruce Grove residents are encouraged to understand the risks in our area and learn what actions they can take to protect themselves and their families.

The 2023 theme was "Be Prepared. Know the Risks". Does your family know what to do in case of an emergency? Are you prepared for unexpected situations? It's important to prepare an emergency kit. To create your kit, start by making a list of items you think would be essential in an emergency situation. Think of what you and your family would need to survive without access to food, water, electricity, or cell phone service for up to three days or even longer. Need help?
