Gas Permits
Gas permits are required for:
- Installing a BBQ gas line
- Installing a garage heating system
- Building a house, row house, semi-detached house or showhome
A certified gas journeyman must apply for commercial gas permits. Contractors applying for gas permits must have a valid business license in the City of Spruce Grove.
Wait times are approximately three business days.

Apply online for a gas permit using the CityView Portal.

Gas Permits FAQs
- Sign into CityView.
- Select My Items from the menu.
- Click on the Construction and Lot Grading section to expand it.
- Look for permits that have an Issued status.
- Click the Request Inspection button next to the issued permits.
- Select the inspections you wish to book.
- Select a day for your inspection for building and trades permits.
- You will be contacted by email to confirm the inspection time (building and trades).
