Integrated Transportation Master Plan
The Integrated Transportation Master Plan (iTMP) was finalized in November 2024 and is a long-term plan for the City’s transportation network. This plan will serve as a comprehensive framework to guide future transportation decisions and investments in infrastructure for the next two decades. It is a forward-thinking strategy that addresses the current and future mobility needs for residents, businesses, and visitors. By supporting planning, construction, and maintenance of roads, sidewalks, trails, transit, and movement of goods, a connected, reliable, and resilient transportation network will be created.
The iTMP was built on four key pillars:

Community Growth and the iTMP
Spruce Grove has doubled its population over the last 20 years and is projected to maintain a similar growth rate to almost 66,000 by 2044. The number of jobs available in Spruce Grove is also expected to grow at a steady rate, generating more than 6,000 new jobs by 2044.
Growth predictions are subject to change as it can be difficult to predict unexpected challenges that may occur such as economic conditions. Twenty-year estimates are based on current conditions and economic trends.
Community involvement
Throughout the development of the iTMP, the City engaged residents, business owners, and other stakeholders, gathering over 400 responses. This valuable feedback was carefully considered and integrated into the final plan.
