Each year, residents and community groups have an opportunity to make a public budget submission to the City of Spruce Grove for consideration when developing the Corporate Plan. This is part of an annual process where the City welcomes public input into the corporate and fiscal planning process. For the 2025-2027 Corporate Plan, public submissions were accepted until June 20, 2024 and the submission form is now closed for this budget year. 

As identified in Council’s 2022-2025 Strategic Plan, Administration is developing a community grant program which is anticipated to be in place for next year’s corporate planning process. As a result, submissions brought forward in 2024 will be considered for funding in the 2025 budget year only.

Those that submitted a public budget submission will be provided with the opportunity to present their request to Council at the September 9, 2024 Council Meeting.  

All submitted public submissions, along with Administration’s recommendations, will be presented to Spruce Grove City Council in November for final review and approval as part of the corporate planning process. Those public budget submissions approved by Council to be funded will be included in the 2025-2027 Corporate Plan, which outlines the resources required to deliver the City's programs and services, provide funding to the community, and implement the 2022-2025 Strategic Plan.

Applicants will be notified in December of the decision made by Council on their request after the 2025-2027 Corporate Plan is formally approved.
