March 19, 2024

The Tri-Region Mayors’ Golf Classic is set to tee off for its third annual tournament, promising a day of camaraderie, competition, and regional impact. Hosted by the Town of Stony Plain, this year’s event is slated to take place on July 22 at the Stony Plain Golf Course.

Building upon the success of its predecessors, the 2024 Tri-Region Mayors’ Golf Classic aims to unite members of the business and development community, as well as council and administrative representatives from the Town of Stony Plain, the City of Spruce Grove, and Parkland County. With a shared commitment to strengthening ties and giving back to the region, participants can expect a memorable day on the green filled with friendly competition and meaningful connections.

“This event is an excellent example of the collaboration that defines our region,” says Stony Plain Mayor William Choy. “We’re thrilled to host this year’s tournament and showcase the incredible support and generosity of our regional partners. Plus, it’s a great chance to see who has the best swing – both on the golf course and in the boardroom!”

From seasoned golfers to first-time players, everyone is invited to join in the festivities and support the event’s designated charity, Neighbourlink Parkland. Through sponsorships, donations, and participation, individuals and businesses alike can make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need while enjoying a day of outdoor fun.

“Not only is this event a wonderful opportunity to connect with our neighbouring municipalities, but it’s also a way for us to give back to our community,” said Spruce Grove Mayor Jeff Acker. “Whether you want to spend the day on the course, or show your support through a donation or sponsorship, there are several ways for community members and businesses to make a lasting impact in our region.”

In addition to showcasing golfing prowess, the tournament provides a platform for networking, relationship-building, and fostering stronger connections among participants.

“The Tri-Region Mayors’ Golf Classic is a wonderful way to connect with our municipal partners and business leaders throughout the Tri-Region,” says Parkland County Mayor Allan Gamble. “I look forward to maintaining strong relationships throughout the region while we come together to support Neighbourlink Parkland. This event is always up to par!”

The Tri-Region Mayors’ Golf Classic promises to be an unforgettable event, highlighting the spirit of unity, generosity, and regional pride that defines Stony Plain, Spruce Grove, and Parkland County.
