Starting January 6, Spruce Grove’s on-demand local transit service is expanding to offer service within city limits on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

This service enhancement was approved as part of the City of Spruce Grove’s 2024-2026 Corporate Plan to support the growing demand for transit in Spruce Grove and make public transportation more accessible and convenient for residents.

During weekdays, the on-demand local transit service operates from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. within Spruce Grove and Stony Plain with service to Parkland Village and Acheson between 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Saturday on-demand local transit service is only within Spruce Grove city limits.

Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, and Parkland County operate one combined on-demand transit service. However, each municipality makes their own decision about the hours of operation of the service within their own municipality.

Saturday on-demand local transit trips can be booked the same way as weekday on-demand local transit trips and the fares are the same.
