Highlights from 2025-2027 Recommended Corporate Plan and proposed 2025 budget; residents invited to ask questions at upcoming Governance and Priorities Committee meeting

October 25, 2024

Residents are invited to review highlights from the City of Spruce Grove’s 2025-2027 Recommended Corporate Plan and 2025 budget in advance of upcoming Governance and Priorities Committee meetings dedicated to these topics.

This highlights document is a summary of the municipal budget and how funds are allocated to various programs, service areas and projects, as well a breakdown of utility rates and property taxes City Administration is recommending to Council.

The recommended 2025 budget includes the proposed operating and capital budgets and will be presented to City Council during a series of Governance and Priorities Committee meetings on November 4, November 5 and November 6.

During these meetings, Council will review the Recommended Corporate Plan, discuss Administration’s recommendations and provide direction that will inform the revised 2025-2027 Corporate Plan, which will be presented for approval at a Council meeting in early December.

Additionally, residents can participate in the public question and answer period on November 4 to ask a question on the Recommended Corporate Plan in the following ways:

  • In person: To ask a question in person, register by emailing cityclerk@sprucegrove.org or calling 780-962-7615 before noon on November 4. When registering, residents are asked to provide the question they intend to ask.
  • Submit a question in advance: Residents can submit a question to be asked on their behalf by emailing cityclerk@sprucegrove.org until the public question and answer period on November 4 is complete.

In-person attendees will have two minutes to ask their question and one question per person is permitted. If a question has already been asked, another individual will not be permitted to ask the same question.

Questions may be answered during the meeting or may be referred to Administration for further research; in all cases residents will receive a reply.
