Council approves significant investment for Heritage Grove Forest maintenance
As part of the 2024-2026 Corporate Plan, Spruce Grove City Council has approved a significant investment in additional annual forest maintenance to support the ongoing health and appearance of the Heritage Grove Forest.
This additional maintenance will help with the removal and clean up of deadfall and dead standing trees as well as invasive species, while also improving the aesthetic of the forest.
“Heritage Grove Park and the surrounding forested areas are such an important part of our community, connecting many neighbourhoods and providing wonderful recreational opportunities for residents and visitors,” said Mayor Jeff Acker. “This investment will provide additional resources to care for the forest, helping to keep it safe and looking its best for years to come.”
Located in the heart of our community, Heritage Grove Park has more than 40 km of all-weather trails and a series of outdoor classrooms that can be enjoyed by residents and visitors through every season. Dogs are welcome but must be always on a leash.
