The City of Spruce Grove is saddened to hear of the passing of Parkland County Councillor Allan Hoefsloot on August 10, 2024. Our deepest condolences go out to Allan’s family, friends and colleagues. Flags will remain at half-mast to honour Councillor Hoefsloot.

"It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of our regional colleague and friend, Allan Hoefsloot, a dedicated Councillor for Division 6 in Parkland County. Allan passed away on Saturday, August 10, after a courageous battle with cancer. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, family, and the many friends and loved ones who mourn his loss.

"I had the honour of getting to know Allan over the past three years, and I will deeply miss his genuine passion for his community and the tremendous kindness and compassion he showed to everyone he met. Allan’s commitment to making our region a better place was evident in all he did, and his presence will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
