School tours include visiting the Mayor's office and Council Chambers where important City decisions are made, and may include a brief tour of City Hall. School tours also include an overview of:

• Municipal government (i.e. what is a municipality, what do the various City departments do)
• Elections
• The Role of Council

School tours are by appointment only for Spruce Grove schools, Monday to Friday with the exception of Council and Governance and Priorities Committee meeting days, which are typically on Mondays.

Duration: 1 to 2 hours

Based on the Grade 6 curriculum, a Mock Council Meeting may be coordinated for school tours of Grade 6 students.

The timing of school tours is based on the availability of City Clerk's Office staff. Due to other priorities, the City Clerk's Office may not be able to accommodate requested dates and times.
