Recreational and All-Terrain Vehicle Parking

Whether you like to travel the Rockies in your recreational vehicle (RV) or explore nature on your all-terrain vehicle (ATV), you still need a place to park these vehicles throughout the year.

RVs and ATVs can be parked on private, residential property within the City of Spruce Grove, as outlined in the City’s Land Use Bylaw.

As of July 1, 2024, residents can park their RVs and ATVs – on their driveway or beside their home – for longer periods of time throughout the year.

Vehicle Type Parking Regulation
Recreational vehicles, including motor homes, boats, campers and travel trailers. April 15 to November 30
All-terrain vehicles with wheels, such as quads and dirt bikes. Year-round
All-terrain vehicles with tracks, such as snowmobiles or vehicles. November 15 to April 15

To keep our community welcoming and safe, residents must ensure parked RVs and ATVs are kept clear from sidewalks and roadways to avoid blocking drivers’ sightlines and provide pedestrians enough room to walk by.

RV street parking is regulated through Section 4 of the City’s Traffic Bylaw. Residents can park RVs on the street for up to 72 consecutive hours, as long as they are hooked up to a vehicle and parking does not violate any other bylaws.
