Camping Regulations

As part of the Community Standards Bylaw, which took effect July 1, 2024, the City has updated the regulations around camping on public and private property in Spruce Grove.

Public property

Camping is not allowed in any public place in the city, unless special permission has been granted by the City of Spruce Grove. This includes parks, green spaces, streets, sidewalks, and city-owned buildings and parking lots. 

Private property

Camping on private property, with the property owner's permission, is permitted for a maximum of seven consecutive days, and no more than 21 total days in a calendar year, unless special permission has been granted by the City of Spruce Grove. This includes camping in accessory buildings (garages or sheds), camping units (RVs, trailers, tent trailers), and tents.
