Agrena
There will be no public skating from Dec. 24 to Jan. 1. The Agrena will reopen Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025.
Located in the Agrena is the Grant Fuhr Arena and Stu Barnes Arena, two full-sized rinks available to rent for skating, hockey and ringette. In the summer, ice is removed to allow for dry land sport rentals. Both rinks are utilized throughout the year by local minor sport organizations.
The Grant Fuhr Arena is home to the Spruce Grove Saints Junior A Hockey Club. The Saints play in the Alberta Junior Hockey League and host 30 regular season games at the Grant Fuhr Arena.
Public Skating
Free public skating is available at the Agrena weekdays from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. from October to March.
No, public skating is offered free of charge to all participants.
At this time skate rentals are not available at the Agrena; participants will need to bring their own skates.
Yes, there are three skating aids available on a first come, first served basis.
Yes, helmets must be worn by all participants (children and adults). Hockey, ski/snowboard and bicycle helmets are acceptable.
Children can skate alone, but parents/guardians must remain on site to supervise children during public skating. If not on the ice, parents/guardians are welcome to sit in the stands or in the player’s box.
No, hockey sticks and pucks are not allowed during public skating.
Food is not permitted on the ice surface or in the player’s boxes. Water bottles are allowed.
No, only participants wearing skates are allowed on the ice surface during public skating. Parents/guardians wishing to accompany their child on the ice must wear skates and a helmet.
Yes, parents/guardians can pull a small child in a clean, plastic or wood sled.

The Agra Room is a multi-purpose room in the Agrena.
