For those experiencing loss of relationships, jobs, or living in life’s many phases of transition.

The Sum of Us: What racism costs everyone and how we can prosper together by Heather Mcghee.

The Bridging Connections team consists of Community Social Workers who are dedicated professionals offering compassionate and confidential support to Parkland County residents. Community Social Workers actively listen to individuals, identify solutions, and facilitate connections to pertinent community resources. Their role is to assist residents of all ages and situations in navigating life’s challenges.

The Tri-Region Grief Collaborative brochure includes information on registered and drop-in support groups being offered in the region.
Talking Circles come from the culture and traditions of indigenous people in North America. All community members are welcome at these Talking Circles. Listen deeply with an opportunity to understand, learn, and establish a sense of community. Wearing Ribbon skirts/shirts is welcomed.

Community for Youth Equity (C4YE) is a team of various organizations in Spruce Grove working together to support youth. Before we plan our next project, we want to learn from youth how to make Spruce Grove a healthier, more inclusive place to live. C4YE is seeking youth to help collect insight on their community.
During Photovoice, participants take photos to share their thoughts, experiences, or ideas. This helps them tell their story in a creative way, making it easier for others to understand what’s important to them.
Join the project to learn photography skills from a professional and use your photos to share your story and make a difference!

He believes that everyone has the ability to create something meaningful, no matter their background or experience. Project Details:
Part 1: Photography Basics - Learn the essentials of photography from a professional photographer, including different types of photography, camera essentials, composition tips, and editing techniques. This session will help you capture meaningful images that express your ideas.
Part 2: Telling Stories Through Photos - Discover how to use your photos to tell powerful stories. You’ll learn how to connect your images with your thoughts and experiences to share messages that inspire and engage others.
Part 3: Showcase Celebration - This is a chance for participants to showcase their photos and share the stories behind them with friends, family, and the community. It’s a chance to celebrate creativity, hard work, and the important messages captured through the photography.
This series is offered in partnership with AHS Alberta Healthy Communities grant initiative.

SeniorCONNECT
SeniorConnect Tri-Region is a free, online training program that teaches residents how to recognize and respond to seniors in need. The program is open to all residents in the Tri-Municipal Region and is an excellent way for us to work together to help seniors in our community find local information, resources, and support.
SeniorConnect Tri-Region is a partnership involving Stony Plain FCSS and Spruce Grove Community Social Development (CSD), and is made up of six training modules focused on:
- Why connecting with seniors is important
- Caregiver burnout
- Mental illness: dementia, delirium and depression
- Elder abuse
- Addictions
- Diversity
