Justin Lawrence
Justin Lawrence started his football journey at the age of 10 when he joined the Spruce Grove Cougars Atom team, which turned into a successful high school football career with the Spruce Grove Panthers and other elite teams, resulting in multiple local, national and international wins.
Justin played with the Alberta Golden Bears during his time with the University of Alberta, earning several awards, before being drafted by the Calgary Stampeders. His first year in the CFL ended on a high note, as the Stampeders won the 106th Grey Cup in 2018, earning Lawrence his first of two Grey Cup rings. His second came in 2022 with the Toronto Argonauts, when he was also named Eastern Conference All-Star at centre. Justin will be playing the 2023-2024 CFL season with the Montreal Alouettes.
During the off season, Justin volunteers with a non-profit organization called Be The Voice to do sessions with schools, community teams and everything in between to share his story and help tackle the issues of today’s world. He has worked with the Connection and Compassion program which focuses on helping at-risk youth in Spruce Grove.
