The City of Spruce Grove is proud to support and commission the creation of public art throughout the community. Several murals and art installations have been completed in recent years, which add to the beauty of our public spaces and bring people together to celebrate the heritage, history and values of our community. Utility Box Beautification Project
Throughout the fall of 2024 and the spring and summer of 2025, dozens of City-owned utility boxes will be wrapped in 16 different designs and photographs created by 11 artists as part of the Utility Box Beautification Project. Check out the designs!

Past opportunities
The City invited Indigenous artists and Indigenous artist-led teams living in Treaty 6 First Nations or within Métis Settlements & Métis Nation Regions within Treaty 6 territory to submit an expression of interest to create a permanent exterior painted mural at Jubilee Park.

The City of Spruce Grove invites artists (individuals or groups) to submit a proposal for a "live" mural painting on a sea can which will be displayed at various outdoor events to help beautify our community. The expectation of this call is to incorporate public art in our upcoming 2024 Canada Day and Alberta Day Events. This call is open to any Canadian Artist(s) ages 18 and older, individuals, artist groups, and collectives are encouraged to apply.
