Volunteers
Thinking about volunteering for Canada Day? There are two ways to participate as a volunteer:
- Register as an individual using our online form (link will be posted in the spring).
- Register as a non-profit organization and be eligible to earn honorariums through the City's Community Service Partnership Program (CSPP). This initiative allows non-profit groups to donate their time in exchange for a financial contribution from the City.
We have Canada Day volunteer positions available for adults and youth/teens. Assignments may include:
- Site set up
- Site tear-down
- Activity assistants
- Host teams
- Transportation
- Site management
Teens and young adults: Do you need volunteer experience on your resume to apply for work or post secondary education? We're happy to provide a reference letter stating the number of hours you volunteered and your responsibilities.
