Join in the magical transformation of Central Park into a splendor of light! After being unable to hold a public light up ceremony last year, we are pleased to return to Central Park with a renewed focus to celebrate culture, community connections, light, and the magic of winter at this free event.
The lights in Central Park have always been a symbol of community spirit in Spruce Grove, as each winter they light up the park and capture the magic of the season.
One tree will be lit up orange tree as an important reminder for us all to talk about Canada’s history and to work towards a path of good relationships with Indigenous Peoples across Turtle Island. For non-Indigenous peoples and Indigenous Peoples to meet halfway in this continued time for learning and change.
This year’s event will be held Saturday, November 27 from 5:00-8:30 p.m. in Central Park. The schedule of activities is posted online, and will be updated as more things are confirmed.
