Flags lowered to half-mast to honour victims in Toronto and mark National Day of Mourning

Flags at City facilities will be lowered to half-mast on April 25 to honour the victims of the tragic event that took place in Toronto, Ont., on Monday, April 23.

Flags will remain lowered until Monday, April 30, to mark the National Day of Mourning, which is recognized each year on Saturday, April 28, to honour those who have died, been injured or suffered an illness in the workplace. Last year, 166 people died in Alberta from a workplace illness or injury.
