Commuter transit service enhancements and changes

Effective Tuesday, Sept. 3, several enhancements and changes are coming to Spruce Grove Transit’s commuter transit service, which provides service between Spruce Grove and Edmonton/Acheson.

Route 560

  • The following schedule enhancements will go into effect:
    • Regular service frequency will resume (reduced seasonal summer service schedule is ending)
    • Routing around NAIT and downtown Edmonton will be changing to reduce travel time and improve service reliability
    • Hourly midday service is being added

Route 562

  • The following schedule enhancements will go into effect:
    • Trip frequency will be increasing from four to six trips per morning and afternoon
    • Hourly evening service (until approximately 10 p.m.) is being added
    • Service will end at West Edmonton Mall (service to South Campus/Fort Edmonton Park LRT station is being discontinued due to low ridership; alternative service between WEM and the U of A South Campus is provided by ETS Routes 4 and 106, and between WEM and the U of A North Campus is provided by ETS Routes 133, 4 and 106)

NEW – Free commuter connector shuttle service

A new free shuttle service will be available to connect transit riders from Harvest Ridge and Spruce Village/Greenbury to the commuter transit service. This service will be available during peak morning and afternoon hours.
