City begins playground replacement and expansion projects on July 26

Playground replacement and expansion projects at the Fairway Park and Victoria Park playgrounds in Spruce Grove are now underway. Residents are reminded to keep a safe distance from the construction equipment and to stay outside of the fenced areas at all times.

Fairway Park playground replacement
A new play structure, featuring monkey bars, climbers and interactive components, will be installed at Fairway Park playground. The playground area will be fenced off to accommodate removal of the old structure.

Updated anticipated completion date: Early-September, weather permitting
Residents looking to enjoy a nearby neighbourhood park are encouraged to visit Longview Park, Aspenglen Park or Westview Park.

Victoria Park playground expansion
New play equipment will be added to Victoria Park playground, essentially doubling the size of the playground. The new equipment will include climbers, a slide and monkey bars. A construction fence will be installed to section off the expansion area. Existing play equipment will not be removed and will be accessible during the expansion.

Residents looking to enjoy a nearby park are encouraged to visit Jubilee Park or Greystone Park.
