Programs for Youth

Registration for Spruce Grove FCSS Youth Programs is now open.

Junior Gourmets (ages 8–12)
Do you love to cook?  Learn safe and proper ways to prepare nutritious meals and snacks while creating fabulous dishes that will melt in your mouth.

Babysitter Training (ages 11–14)
Join us as we offer Kidproof Canada's number one course! Babysitter Training is designed to increase confidence and provide the hands-on experience and skills needed to be a great babysitter.

Home Alone + First Aid (ages 10+)
This is a mix of Kidproof's Home Alone course and Emergency First Aid. This fun and interactive course helps prepare kids to be at home alone and how to respond to medical emergencies.

Bullyproofing (ages 7–11)
This Kidproof program is designed to be preventative and proactive so that children can avoid being bullied, and if they are bullied, know how to stop it. In an interactive, non-threatening manner, children learn how to become "Bullyproofed". 

Mess with Stress (ages 10–12)
This interactive and preventative summer program is designed to teach youth healthy ways to cope with stress and assist them in handling stressful situations that come their way. Stress is normal and sometimes even a good thing! This class will highlight how stress can affect you mentally, physically and emotionally, and will provide useful resources and tips.

Change Adventure Camp (ages 9–12)
This week-long summer nature camp will focus on discovery, exploration and health. Campers experience the great outdoors and learn to set goals, make healthy eating choices and how to lead an active, positive lifestyle. Activities include hiking, cooking classes, lunch preparation, yoga, geocaching and more.

Teen Adventure Camp (ages 13–15)
This week-long summer camp is packed with action and adventure! You will have the chance to meet new friends, and go on an adventure each day. Campers will explore the great outdoors, try new foods and learn new skills. Activities include hiking, geocaching, yoga and a daily cooking class.
