Flags at City facilities will be lowered to half-mast on Thursday, April 9, to recognize the National Day of Remembrance of the Battle of Vimy Ridge. Lowered City flags will honour the victory and sacrifice made during the battle, which took place during World War I from April 9–12 in 1917, and resulted in more than 10,000 people killed and wounded.
