On Friday, June 18, the inaugural Indigenous Business Connections will provide an opportunity to connect with Indigenous business owners in a professional development event that will include presentations on building relationships, business etiquette, and cultural demonstrations.

Keynote speaker Mackenzie Brown, Project Manager at Indigenous Tourism Alberta, will share her expertise on 'Creating Effective Partnerships, Creating Reciprocal Relationships, Protocol and Misconceptions'. A round table panel will follow featuring local Indigenous business owners who will be discussing stereotypes, challenges, and triumphs of business ownership in the Region.

Registration for the event can be done online.

Building trusting working relationships will increase and strengthen our community’s economic advantage, but most importantly, it will make our communities more welcoming for all.

Indigenous Business Connections has been coordinated by the Greater Parkland Chamber of Commerce, BadaB Consulting, Bredin Centre for Career Advancement, Adamitz Financial Solutions Inc., Stony Plain FCSS, and supported by the City of Spruce Grove
